How Can I Change Languages?

To change the languages in Dumpster, go to your Settings. To do so, click on More which is located at the bottom right hand corner of your screen. Tap “Language.” Select your language of choice.

What Permissions Does Dumpster Require?

We only ask that you allow Dumpster certain permissions in order to use the app correctly.

Here are the following permissions Dumpster requires, along with the reasons as to why it needs access to them:

Storage: For accessing the device storage
Contacts: Only required for Dumpster Cloud activation

Please note, we do not ever access or use your data or files for internal purposes nor do we share it with others. Privacy is important to us. It’s what we do.

What’s the Dumpster “Recycle Bin”?

Just like on your laptop, if you delete a file, it will go straight to Dumpster’s Recycle Bin where you can restore it if needed. It’s an easy way to restore any file that you accidentally delete!

You can preview any of your files in Dumpster. The Recycle Bin can actually save images, audio, documents, video, APK files, VCF cards, HTML pages, and just about anything you can accidentally delete except messages or contact information.

How Much Space Does Dumpster Take Up?

Dumpster takes up the same amount of storage space as the files it contains. The more files you have, the less storage you’ll have. We recommend sorting & deleting unnecessary files every other month to save space.

You can also use X-Cleaner, a free junk cleaning app to do the dirty work for you.

If you need a lot more space, consider upgrading your account to store files on Dumpster Cloud. You’ll save phone storage and will be able to access photos, videos, and other files on desktop or other mobile devices.

Do Any Apps Interfere With Dumpster?

Please note that certain apps may interfere with Dumpster’s abilities to save your files. These include task killers, battery savers, and junk file cleaners. We recommend you exclude Dumpster from any similar app’s settings, just in case:

Can I Transfer Dumpster to a New Device?

Unfortunately, you can’t.

However, you can try restoring the files to your old device and transfer them with the rest of your content to your new device. Then download Dumpster on your new device, and then delete the desired content.
